Praia do Vau

Located on the western side of Praia da Rocha and Portimao, Praia do Vau is one of the Algarve's most popular beaches. Traditionally, Vau was the beach of choice for wealthy Portuguese families that spent their summers in the Algarve. Today, it is popular with visitors and residents alike. Praia do Vau is a magnificent beach, a vast stretch of golden sand leading all the way down to the more recognised Praia da Rocha. Vau has some spectacular rock formations caused by years of erosion.
