Coverack

Coverack is a beautiful and unspoilt village and fishing port situated on the eastern side of the Lizard Peninsula on the south coast of Cornwall. The harbour at Coverack was built in 1724 using local hornblende and serpentine rocks to help protect the small fleet of fishing boats against the rough seas that come rolling in. Nearby to Coverack are the 'Manacles', a treacherous area of jagged rocks lying just beneath the surface of the sea that have caused many a shipwreck over the years claiming many lives, now a popular spot for divers.
